BCP COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
July 14, 2010
President Dave Ross called the meeting to order. All council members were present except Susan Thoms. Penny R was also absent. Previous minutes were approved. Erin gave $260 to Lane for memberships, 10 new and 6 renewals.
Bob reported that maintenance is zooming along with Allen. He is looking for contracting work, so referrals to him would be a help. The new split will go in over the slider in the theater.
Vicki said that Dana is producing a R & B dance on August 7. Vicki has a meeting today with Heather about a Jim Hatch production. There is also a private party after the potluck on August 15.
Lane gave reports by class of income and expense. We have cleared over $2000 YTD. We have $4000 in check and $3500 in savings. She did not move money to savings due to big current outlays.
We may move the book sales for TMM to the lobby to allow more space in the hex room for vendors. We will buy 5 new medium tables. Lane will purchase these. Rhody suggested playing music outside for TMM.
Security service is not yet up and running. We are not clear about the insurance that Anayansi has on the building, and what it includes. Lane will ask Jerry to talk to Anayansi.
Dave will show the council the 3 boxes for keys. The health dept wants us to get rid of standing water under plants for mosquito control.
Piano: no response from Hogar Trisker as to their needs. Issue was tabled.
The production submission form is on the website. Productions can be done by anyone. Info on this needs to be on the website.
Karen Hill will cover taking money at the TMM for month of September.
Mary suggested that we form two standing committees. We have a group of trained people for light and sound. She suggested that we also have a “Meet and Greet” committee for any functions that we need them for. Lane will send out invitation to join this committee, as well as for a stagehand committee. This would make it easier for people to mount productions at the theater.
No happy hour is scheduled for 3 months due to Broadway Revue and other matters. Karen and Jerry Gaspard and maybe Craig will work on this. Dan Beauville will also help on projects.
Jim Hatch wants to do two productions, one the last 2 weeks of September and one in November. The Odd Couple is scheduled for Oct 21 - 24, a BCP production.
