Friendship Potluck Luncheon

BCP holds a quarterly Potluck Luncheon in the Hexagon Room, and we cordially invite you to join this fun group.  The next Potluck will occur:

Sunday, September 19, 2010

1:00 pm – gathering

2:00 pm – luncheon

Contact:  Potluck Committee

We gather at 1 pm for socializing.    We ask that you bring a potluck dish sufficient size for 8 people to share.   Just before 2, we assemble the food and at 2 we enjoy each others’ recipes and continue with the merry making!

We ask $1 per person at the door to cover the cost of silverware, plates and cups, which is provided by BCP.   We don’t have a maid, so we ask each person clean their stuff after the meal.

Clare Edmonds, our Potluck Coordinator, makes food assignments and rotates the types of dish each segment of the alphabet brings, so you won’t always be bringing entree, a dessert, etc..   Clare issues this assignment list in plenty of time prior to each luncheon.   It’s a casual event and you are welcome to bring friends.

Some History:   The monthly potluck began in 2002 when a few newly arrived ExPats decided to get together to discuss the challenges of living in a new country.   This eventually grew into the Tuesday Morning Meeting, and BCP has revived the original concept of a potluck gathering to keep the tradition going.  (To read more about the origins of this, see From Small Seeds Big Trees Grow.)

We hope you will join us.    Contact: Potluck Coordinator
