NOTICE: Aspiring & Experienced Actors
Have you been on the stage and want to do more of it…and do it better? Have you always felt you could act? Have you wished you knew the techniques and secrets that really excellent actors know? Well….now’s your chance.
BCP is very pleased to announce that experienced, professional actor and instructor Leara Clausing will be teaching an Actor’s Workshop at BCP Theater & Events Center beginning Monday, July 12 at 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. The first two classes are FREE….those who exhibit potential and talent will be invited to continue on to the third class in the series (8 weeks) for the low price of $5 per week.
Even if you are an experienced actor this class will greatly benefit you. As we know…even the most experienced professionals continue their training throughout their careers. If you haven’t had much experience, but you would like to know if you have what it takes, this is the class for you. There are many first timers that simply take your breath away!
Leara Clausing began performing professionally at age 14, and has made it her life’s work; she’s been performing on stage for over 35 years. She has acted in over 50 plays, and has written several screen plays, one of which is being adapted for the stage.
Leara trained with world famous acting coach Sanford Meisner at his renowned Neighborhood Playhouse in New York City for two years. She has also studied with A.C.T. in San Francisco, and has taught acting in New York and San Francisco for over 9 years, teaching both beginners and experienced actors. She has directed several plays in Los Angeles, and was a theatrical agent there for two years.
So…you couldn’t ask for a more talented teacher and mentor. Leara believes in making learning fun, but takes her craft seriously! Join the group at 10:30 am on Monday, July 12 at BCP Theater & Events Center….try the first 2 weeks free and see how you like it.
