Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at Mail Boxes Etc. or that night, at the door.
Because dancing is thirsty work there will be water for all, and the BCP bar will be selling drinks (one FREE drink is included in your ticket price). Salty & Sweet snacks will be available for purchase, to keep your dancing energy up.
Expect fun tempo changes, music old and new, and while the DJ DOES NOT take requests, cause a big part of DJing is the creativity of choosing the tunes by tapping into the energy of the crowd at the moment, you will be sure to hear your favorites. In fact, he prefers to operate as a sort of “man behind the curtain” in the OZ sense, as he fashions a musical tapestry to get everyone involved and moving.
We’ve chosen this time of year for this event based on the belief that when the rains are pouring, we all need a reason to get out of the house to keep our spirits high…..so, we are encouraging you to come in fun dress-up and makeup, but plain old clothes, or pajamas, are just as welcome. In other words outrageousness is invited. Of course, it’s not about the outfit….it’s about the MUSIC.
Also, 10PM is a tentative end time. But if people are still dancing, the DJ will keep playing till the last dancer goes home.
